A flower made from small flowers

The botanical name for ornamental onions is Allium, a name that means happiness and prosperity. Ornamental onions produce flowers made up of many small flowers that form a larger ball. This ball can be big, small or spindly. Every little flower produces nectar that both moths and butterflies love to drink!

Gigantic

Allium ‘Gladiator’ is the biggest version of the most familiar ornamental onion. This variety can easily grow to 150 cm tall! And its flower is 25 cm across! Little kids can even look at this gigantic flower from underneath – wouldn’t that be fun?
